Germanium fuzz based on the Tone Bender MK1.5 two transistor fuzz circuit with added bias control.

The controls:

- Level: the output level

- Attack: the amount of fuzz

- Bias: bias control for the transistors. Fully clockwise produces a "gating" effect (the intensity varies with the temperature!), fully anti-clockwise produces a more open sound.

- Internal bias trimmer (some versions may not have this feature):  Sets the sweep of the bias knob. Don't turn all the way down!

Matched NOS germanium transistors based on availability. Actual available transistor options are shown in the drop down list. If you are looking for specific transistor models for your pedal, please contact me! Transistors used in this pedal so far: Tungsram OC1071 (OC71), OC1074 (OC74), OC1075 (OC75), OC1076 (OC76), OC1077 (OC77), AC125 or Tesla GC508, GC517, GC518, GC519.

This model by default features a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) construction. Hand wired Tagboard construction is available by request or if specifically noted in the drop down list.

Aluminum 125B size die-cast box. True bypass. Operates on center negative 9V power supply or 9V battery. THIS IS A POSITIVE GROUND CIRCUIT SO PLEASE USE ISOLATED POWER SUPPLY. Hand built in Hungary (European Union).

The pedal has the Greek letter Phi (or Fi) on it. The pedal is named after the Greek word for medicine (Farmako) that the English word Pharmacy comes from.
